Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

Billy and his father Dr Bill Crawford successfully lifted the Dinnie Stones together at The Gathering unassisted. This makes them only the 3rd father and son lifters of the Dinnie Stones since Donald Dinnie and his father Robert. Billy's lift was witnessed by event officials Matt Jones, Chloe Brennan, Stig Parker, Brett Nicol, Stevie Shanks, Jim & Rosemary Splaine and the large crowd of spectators and lifters in attendance. Billy held onto the stones for an incredible 26.59 seconds!
